A new laptop is at its most exposed between unboxing and setup. We close that gap by configuring every device to your standard before it reaches your staff.

01Who it's for
Is this service right for you?
It suits organisations that want every device to arrive meeting the same standard, with a record that proves it.
Built for
Businesses with 5 or more staff that buy laptops one at a time from a retailer and set them up by hand
Organisations refreshing a batch of ageing computers, servers or network equipment
Teams planning private or local AI that need GPU workstations or servers specified correctly
Government, education and health organisations that need hardware delivered to a documented security standard
You probably need it if…
New laptops sit unprotected for days while someone finds time to set them up
Every machine in the office is set up slightly differently
Staff get admin rights on new devices by default
Nobody tracks warranty dates or when devices fall out of support
02What's included
What you get
Source & specify
Specification and quote
We recommend hardware that suits each role and your budget, from standard office laptops to engineering workstations, and give you a written quote with clear options to choose from.
Network and server hardware
Switches, Wi-Fi access points, firewalls and servers specified to fit your network design, then configured, installed and tested by the same team that will support them afterwards.
GPU workstations and AI servers
Workstations and servers with the graphics processing power to run AI models on your own premises, specified for the models and workloads you actually plan to run.
Configure & deliver
Secure configuration before delivery
Each device is enrolled in your device management, encrypted, updated, protected with endpoint security and set up with standard user rights before it reaches your staff.
Delivery and deployment
Devices are delivered ready to use. For larger rollouts we schedule deployment, move data from old machines and collect the hardware being replaced, so nothing is left lying around the office.
Support
Warranty and lifecycle support
We register warranties, handle warranty claims on your behalf and keep an asset register, so you can plan replacements before devices fall out of support.

Managed IT
Equipment chosen to stay supported for its working life
We check vendor support and firmware update timelines before recommending a device, to reduce the risk of a server or switch losing security updates partway through the years you plan to use it.
03In detail
IT hardware procurement, in depth
What hardware can you supply?
We supply most of the hardware a small or medium organisation needs:
Computers: business laptops, desktops and monitors, specified by role.
Servers: for file storage, business applications or virtualisation.
Network equipment: switches, Wi-Fi access points and WatchGuard and Check Point firewalls, installed as part of our network services.
Workstations: high-performance machines for design, engineering, data analysis and AI.
Accessories: docks, headsets, webcams and meeting room equipment.
We source networking and server equipment from MikroTik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link Omada, Planet Technology, Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Juniper Networks, Check Point and WatchGuard. If you need software or licences for the new equipment, we can add them to the same order through software licensing. The security settings each device leaves with line up with the baseline we apply through managed IT support, so new hardware joins your managed fleet with little extra setup.
ASD’s Choosing secure and verifiable technologies guidance suggests buyers ask whether a product is secure by default and whether the manufacturer discloses its end-of-life and end-of-support dates. Those are useful questions to ask of any hardware quote, including ours.
What goes into a GPU workstation for local AI?
More organisations want to use AI without sending sensitive documents to a public service. Running models on your own hardware keeps that data on systems you control, but doing it well depends on choosing the right graphics processing unit (GPU), memory and storage for the models you plan to run.
We specify GPU workstations and servers around your real workload, configure them securely and support them like any other device. Our Local AI and private large language models (LLMs) service covers the models, private document search and hardened deployment that run on top.
04The process
How it works
1Step 01
Requirements
We confirm who the hardware is for, what it needs to run and how it will be managed.
2Step 02
Quote
You receive a written quote with the specification, price, warranty and expected delivery time for each item.
3Step 03
Configure
We enrol, encrypt, update and secure each device to your standard before it leaves our hands.
4Step 04
Deliver and support
We deliver and deploy the hardware, record it in your asset register and support it through our helpdesk.

06FAQ
IT hardware procurement, answered.
Can't see your question? Ask a specialist and get a straight answer.
Why buy business hardware through an IT provider instead of a retailer?
Buying through us means each device arrives ready to work, rather than needing hours of setup by someone in your office. We specify business-grade models with warranties that suit how long you plan to keep them, check they will keep receiving security updates, and record each one in your asset register. You also get one point of contact when something goes wrong.
What does configured securely before delivery mean?
It means the device meets your security standard before anyone uses it. Disk encryption protects data if a laptop is lost, removing unnecessary software leaves less to attack, and a standard user account limits what malware can do. Restricting admin rights is one of the controls ASD prioritises. Enrolling the device in your device management keeps those settings in place after delivery.
Can you supply GPU workstations for running AI locally?
Yes. We specify and supply GPU workstations and servers for organisations that want to run AI models on their own premises, keeping their data on systems they control. The right specification depends on the size of the models and how many people will use them, so we work through those questions with you first. Our Local AI service covers the software side.
How is IT hardware priced?
Hardware is quote-based, because prices and availability change often and every order is different. Your quote lists each item, its specification, warranty and expected delivery time, and the cost of configuration and deployment. We recommend options at different price points where there is a genuine choice, and we explain where spending more makes a real difference, such as warranty length or memory in a workstation, and where it doesn't.
Do you support hardware you have supplied?
Yes. Hardware we supply is recorded in your asset register and supported through our helpdesk. We handle warranty claims with the manufacturer on your behalf, track warranty expiry dates and tell you when devices are approaching the end of their supported life, so replacements can be planned and budgeted rather than rushed.
